My First Impression: The Blacklist

My First Impression: The Blacklist

I’ve heard people rant on and on about how amazing the TV series “The Blacklist” is, but up until tonight, I had never watched it, much less really knew what it was about.

Indeed, just merely an hour ago, I watched the pilot episode and I’d give it 7.5 out of 10 stars just based on that one episode. As I watch more of them, I’m sure my opinion will change and I may keep you updated. Maybe not.

If you didn’t know, I’m not a huge TV fanatic. I end up starting ten times more TV series than I finish. I’m not up-to-date on the majority of the latest movies. When I sit and stare at a screen, I just feel like I’m wasting my time. The funny thing is, I waste my time reading for hours every day and yet, I don’t consider that a waste of time but watching TV, I do. It’s a conundrum(my new favorite word) that I have yet to crack.

I’m moving off topic though. What were we talking about again? Oh yeah. The Blacklist.

Overall, I love crime shows. Some of my favorites are ‘Lie to Me’ ‘Numbers’ and ‘Psych.’ And I’d definitely put ‘The Blacklist’ up there with ‘Lie to Me’ and that’s pretty high, since ‘Lie to Me’ is absolutely amazing.

I really like the whole concept of the ‘blacklist’ that Reddington has compiled. And I can already tell that I’m going to love the leading female. I’m excited to find out everything regarding her husband: whether he was/ is a criminal, where’d he get that money, etc.

If you’ve never watched The Blacklist or have never even heard of it, check it out. Yesterday. It seems like it’s going to be a really great show. Who knows? I may become addicted to it.
